are you? --- especially with a "wink" emoticon?  You're much younger than I!
HI HI  But /. it was 5 dB back when .. not 6 --- must have tied in with the
5mv -- I don't remember details, I was last concerned mightily with this in
the early 60s  --- then found out quite early on just what you said ....
used to take 2wo identical NEW receivers, side by side, and the linearity
would not match between the Silly meter readings ... only used them then,
still do, as "relative" --- whether on my newest whiz-bang digital wonder,
or one of my nostalgia stations ...those  "RADIOS THAT DRIFT IN THE
DARK" ---   Hey, Merry Christmas,all!
