Is Penatrox 'messy (like a graphite based grease) or is it 'neat' (like an
oil) ??
--------------------
I've been using an automotive non-galling anti-seize product designed for
bolts. It's a very thick silvery colored material and is applied with a
brush built into its jar cap. It is also conductive, probably indicating it
has a lot of metallic material in it. The material had dripped on the label
and made it completely opaque. I believe this is the same stuff sold at
auto stores as an 'anti-seize' for bolts.

I had assembled and tested a sat helix. SWR was very low on an antenna
analyzer. After disassembling, applying the gunk, reassembling, the antenna
tested exactly the same, seeming to indicate that the material does not have
any dielectric properties.

I still have some left from the 16 oz jar I bought long ago despite using it
on every outside application on boat (salt water here), car, AND antenna.
It does work great, allowing disassembly of nuts & bolts and even
telescoping tubes even after years outside or around salt water. I swear by
it.... However, it IS 'messy', VERY 'MESSY' !
