Quite true. I'm sure most of you have seen these small party balloons that
are silver color and have some kind of metallic coating. I went to a
wedding where they had these kinds of balloons and some were let loose as
the bride and groom left the church. One of them somehow got contacted a
high voltage line above the church's sidewalk. There was a spark, and a
POW! and the block went dark.
Also about a couple of weekends ago a local lawyer was using an aluminum
pool hook to break some palm fonds off a tree. The pole hit a power line
and he died on the spot.
