[Antennas] Slopers

Has anyone had any experience with dipole slopers? I've used one with
good (I think) results from a mountain location in Colorado. But I
didn't have any other antennas for comparison. This was a 20M dipole
with a tree being the support . The high end was about 20 feet up, the
angle was about 30-40 degrees, and the low end was about 5 feet off the
ground. I sloped to the East. I was able to have regular sked with an
Iowa station in the mornings and worked Sweden . This during Mid July to
Mid August.. Has anyone modeled a sloping dipole similar to this?

Mke Burger at the University of Hawaii at Monoa's ham radio club, UHAM,
has modeled verticals and dipoles, and has a lot of good comparison
info, and insights, on the clubs web site,
http://www.chem.hawaii.edu/uham/index.html. He shows that a horizontal
dipole up 3/8 wavelength is hard to beat.

Thanx for any comments, Terry, WAITP
