makes a clean hole without splintering the wood on exit like a 'spade'
bit
does.  A good 1" forstner bit typically costs $20 (compared to $3 for a
cheap spade bit), but is worth it's weight in gold   This also reduces
static from your other half. You've all heard " JUST WHAT ARE YOU DOING

THE HOUSE?".  Sears used to sell a kit of 6 bits (1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8,
3/4
and 1") for about $50.  Sounds pricey, but once you use one, you will
