Pat,

I would suggest rechecking the calculations.  Running ARRL TLW, with a
2:1 SWR at load, 100' 9913 @ 28MHz I get the following results:

SWR @ input:   1.83:1
Total line loss:  .797dB with the SWR responsible for 0.153dB
