There never was a manual for the 515-T. It was made for the Cleveland
Institute of Elecrtonics for use in their classes. The case on mine is
stamped "CLEVELAND INSTITUTE OF ELECTRONICS" in gold letters. The only
instructions were those given in the class texts. I found this out when I
was looking for a book for mine. Finding a book from CIE is a lot harder
than finding the slide rule, and no, I never did find one.

You can still find new 515's for sale. One place to check is Slide Rule
Emporium at http://members.aol.com/slideruleemp/ . Or search Google for
"slide rule pickett 515."

Pickett also made another slide rule specifically for electronics, the
N535-ES Electronic Slide Rule. This one DID come with a manual.

Personally I like slide rules for come calculations, they're especially
good when learning about resonance. Seeing visually how the resonant
frequency changes as you vary L & C seemed to make it stick in my head better.
