Actually, if the coax if run down the center of the lower element,=0D
it would be a coaxial dipole or "sleeve" dipole.=0D

I have run true verticle dipoles and the coax is run perpendicular=0D
to the antenna (e.g. horizontal) for a distance of at lease=0D
a quarter-wave.=0D

Having used both and all things being the same, the true dipole=0D
works better than the coaxial (at least from my experience).=0D
