[Antennas] Heres a thought

We live in what was farm country - now somewhat developed - although we
still have our family farm intact.... There are still quite a bit of old
barbed wire fences that strung along the top of rock walls, from farm to
farm, for miles and miles.

Works GREAT on VLF. I think I can connect to as much wire at the Navy has
in their entire VLF network. Last time I tried it (on a local field day) I
needed to follow the fence for about 300 yds and then bridge that wire to
another fence. Probably had 5000+ feet of wire......

Take some runs of insulated wire with alligator clips crimped to the bare
ends to bridge fences if needed, Some of the galvanized parts on new chain
link fences may not make such good contact.

about running a wire from my tuner to the fence for receive on vlf and lf?
Will it work or am I nuts?
