antennas-request> I have a Van Gordon 4:1 balun that I use on my
antennas-request> homebrew G5RV antenna. It goes between the 300 ohm
antennas-request> twinlead and the 75 ohm coax.
Why do you need a 4:1 balun John. The 300 ohm line is a stub and the
impedance there is much nearer 50 ohms then 300
You should use a 1:1 balun.
The reason for the apparent short is that the balun is connected as an
auto-transformer.
