[Antennas] Probably a Dumb Question

Why not stop with trial and error and get the ATAS-100 which is the antenna
that was designed to work with this radio.
I use one and the last trip from Las Cruces, NM to Los Angeles, CA I was
able to make contact with stations in France, Spain and Germany.
What more can you ask for?? Also, you get all the HF, VHF & UHF frequencies.
Not a bad combination!
