Hi Bob:
Yes, I was using the tuner in the rig (Yaesu FT-990), but the SWR without the tuner was still under 3:1 at worse and under 2:1 in most cases.
If you want to run QRP, this isn't the antenna for you. If you want to run portable fixed while on vacation this works nicely with a 100 watt transceiver.
