If you have the room the 300 foot doublet is a great antenna.  The late
Wilson Rowell (W2HHL)SK, had one at 65 feet in a folded doublet
configuration with the top wires spaced about 6 inches and fed with
600 ohm open line.  He used to work the world on 160 thru 10.  By the
way Wilson got me started in ham radio 54 years ago.  The beauty
of this configuration is that you can apply 10 volts from a husky
filament transformer across the 600 ohm line and de-ice the antenna
in the winter in the north where radial ice is common.
