I remember around 15 years ago before I retired from Fermilab in
Batavia IL, we were told one day to go through our offices and all the
other space my department occupied, and look for plastic power strips.
Any we found we had to pull out and put in a plastic tub.  We were
given new ones that were metal.  Someone back then knew something we
didn't know.
