I have been just looking at various mod meters. K7DYY had a really nice 3 meter setup with a circuit board of his design that he sold for you to homebrew but he is a SK now. Does anybody have info on the audio transformer used in the K7DYY mod meter board, labelled T1? Did FAR circuits offer that board for sale? The full schematic is on the wireless girl website.

Anybody have, used, or played with the Sylvania Type 7018 mod meter? Any idea what the 'Special Transformer' might be in this unit? It too is an audio range xfmr.

Did anyone ever build the circuit that consisted of a pair of magic eye tubes that indicated low and high modulation by eye deflection? Think it was in the Handbook several decades ago.

Has anybody tried one of the inexpensive (< $100) digital scopes that have a range up to 50MC as a modulation meter feeding it a sample of RF? Does it give a good waveform display or is it choppy?

Thanks,

Charlie, W4MEC in NC
