"error 500 internal server error" generally is a generic message that a
problem exists somewhere causing a web site to not work or not work
properly. It could be within the server hosting the web site or it could
be something broken within the software of the web site program or it
could aliens messing with your mind.
This generally requires the webmaster and the hosting provider to
communicate a good amount of times to find and fix the problem. However,
maintenance support generally is not free and probably there are
different levels of support that vary in cost. The web site software is
old and there are probably a bunch of software hooks and pieces that are
not really compatible with all the new security protocols that are
required in servers today and even in our typical day-to-day browsers
like firefox, edge, and chrome.
In order to have a consistent maintenance and support revenue bucket for
these types of web sites, maybe it's time for a pay to "full use" web
site.
