Interesting thoughts Pete, but you left off the medical reason to slow 
operation habits.  In my case, it is my wife who requires a lot of 
attention.  In my 70 years with a license, this seems to be a major 
reason, following their friends passed.  There are always others out 
there to befriend and it is a fun thing to make new acquaintances.  
Almost all of my remaining friends are from ham radio and I will never 
forget its extensive influence on my life.

Carl, certainly, provided color to any group where he participated. I do 
hope he is in good health and is happy, as I wish that to all here.  It 
seems we have grown old together.
