ARRL membership is down to 135,000 and still falling.  The ARRL is also still actively pursuing allowing Tech phone privileges on 75 and 40 meters.  If you are a long time AM'er, perhaps you remember the League big shot that petitioned the FCC to ban the AM mode.  Like WW II and Korean War Vets that are slowing passing away, all that were around during the Incentive Licensing debacle are slowing fading into  memory too, and I know/knew many who quit the League almost 60 years ago just for that.  I got my Novice ticket the year it went into effect.  The League is slowly killing its own self.

Funny, the League thought everyone would get an Extra to work all the DX at the bottom of the bands, when in fact, the DX moved into the general bands to be able to work someone.
