Every night is AM night in and around Western NC. The freq is 1864, 8PM on, occasionally going to SSB when noise condx make AM impossible. It is a basic round table style net, very informal no net-police to yell at you. Most of the fellows also meet on 3715 Tuesday and Thursday at 9AM and Sunday at 4PM EST. This net is entering its 27th year with about 60 on the roster. We also meet in Spartanburg, SC for lunch one a month, and a lot of the far out fellows make the trip. . We have had as many as 5 Johnson 500's, 5 ART13's, on the net at one time, a lot of milsurp, and a just about every 100 pound AM CW transmitter made on the air plus a couple small ones of the Ameco TX86 variety. One fellow just got his Harvey Wells completed and joined us last Sunday. We also probably have more checking using Elmac gear than the Elmac net. Numbers range from 14 or so to 22 check-ins. See if you can hear us tomorrow at 9AM EST. It will be my turn to be net control. Check in distances go from Myrtle Beach SC, Warner Robbins GA, Newnan Ga, Chickamauga, TN, Limestone TN, Knoxville, TN , High Point NC and many points in between. We have a relocated SC boy down in North FLA that can reach us most of the time too.
