Gentlemen.  Have you opened the manual to repair a receiver and read 
where it says, hook a power meter to the speaker output and turn the 
volume to max?

Here  is a solution other than an AC voltmeter and math, I have a 
General Radio 1840A audio power meter.  The manual says it is good to 
20Kc and measures up to 20 watts.  Speaker impedance is from .6 ohms to 
32 K.

The thing of beauty looks new and works fine.  As a bonus, I have an 
original manual.  Remember it is quite heavy.  I can send a picture, if 
you wish, but pictures are on the web if you search for it.
