[AMRadio] AMRadio Digest, Vol 220, Issue 7

I certainly hope this group stays together. I got lots of good advice about a DX-60 and its Suppressed Carrier operation a number of years ago. It was an interesting rig to refurbish and run.
My collection has evolved a lot over time and now, all I have for AM is a cranky WRL Globe Scout 680A. However, this summer, I was gifted a Collins 75-A3 and companion 32V-3. I have manuals for both, and will approach them carefully, fully expecting to need help as I get to know these new rigs.

I, too, hope this list remains active.? I seldom post here, but, read
with interest.? I'm a fairly active AMer and join a group on 75-meters
running my DX-100 and SX-111.

I don't post much at all, but really enjoy reading what others write. I have several AM xmitters and receivers, some work, some waiting for me to build my service bench at out new Florida location...Hopefully this list will continue on.

I read with dismay about the possibility of this list going away.? I
started in ham radio in 1956, when the de facto voice mode WAS AM.? I would
hate to see this group go away.? I still like to find AM on HF and make
contacts on it.? I hope we can keep the group alive.? 73 to all here. Bob,

Reminder - the Midwest Military Radio Collectors Group Net is AM on the
first Saturday of each month.
10 am eastern 7295 or so. Newer military rigs are AME, but some of the guys
run heavy iron too..

Cheers,

Hey Jim,

Have you thought about sharing the load?

I don't post much, but I do read everything that comes through. Watched
a recent post about repairing a TS700 with interest.

I am like a lot of the others here who still tinker with the Hobby - and
AM will always have a soft spot. But, anyhow - maybe if you split the
responsibilities it might be a little easier.
