I've been a ham since 1953.  I loved the hobby but it has changed
dramatically.  Not much of it today interests me.  If I get on the air,
I have little in common with most hams.  We have little in common to
talk about.  Consequently I have drawn into my shell.  I enjoy restoring
old gear and talking to some close ham friends on the telephone as well
as with eye ball QSOs.  These guys are all old timers and remember how
Ham Radio used to be.  I don't use Facebook even though I have an
account there.  I don't like the politics, nor the format.  It is
obvious members are just sending one liners with their smart phones.
Same thing is happening with these reflectors.  Nonsense, ignorance, and
mundane one liners. At this point, it makes very little difference to me
if we have a reflector or not.  For the most part, I have "moved on" to
other interests for the use of my time.
