Yes, some of the fellows I know personally who went, sold a lot of stuff, some selling out, and were quite happy. I know the guy who bought the B&W tank that was mentioned, as it has the 160 meter position in it and he wants it to convert his BC transmitter. That one pic of the open grassy area, there are actually 6 rows of boneyard sellers just that long, and the shot did not show the other 1/4 that was behind the pic taker. There were alot of parts of all kinds and gear of all kinds, the few pics provided were just a tiny sample. Shelby starts with a 'land rush' the previous weekend where potential sellers arrive to stake a claim to their spot. People start setting up in earnest on Thursday prior to the official Friday opening, and that is were some of the choicest items are sold just among those coming to sell stuff. What is sad, is like all hamfests, it is dwindling down. There is a set of buildings, plus huge pole barn. They all used to be crammed with sellers. The main building had about 5 sellers in an area that used to have 100, the air conditioned Butler Building had a few commercial small scale vendors, where it used to have MFJ and HRO taking up most of the space, but no more. The pole barn was about 1/3 full, down from the days it was packed out, plus the back and front sides of its entrances loaded with sellers, but now only the guy selling hand squeezed orange, lime, and lemonade was at the front entrance.
