The early tube and fixed channel xtal cb's that had a 1650 kc i.f. were
super easy to convert.  Just swap the rx xtals with the xmit xtals,
retune the rx front end and xmtr output and you were good to go.  The
frequencies you ended up on were the original cb channels plus 1650 kcs.

Phase locked loop synthesizers using a single pll chip (pl-02?, pl-03?)
were able to shift their operating range into the 10 meter band by
changing the frequency divider ratio by jumpering a few pins on the pll
chip. I don't remember the range of frequencies where you wound up. In
theory, you could replace one reference xtal if you could get one made
by International Crystal to achieve similar results.  Later years had
models using a different pll chip that wouldn't allow changing the
divider ratio.
