I thought the leaf vacuum as a theft device was a neat twist.  Remember when QST did the April Fools articles?  They were great, but got stopped when folks complained that a technical magazine like QST should not run such drivel, so they quit.  I think a lot of folks who got snookered by those articles got mad and complained.  I miss Larsen E. Rapp, the I Tappa Key fraternity, and the great cartoons they used to include.

But, if you looked at the index on the right side of the page and read some of the stuff there, some interesting info contained there.  I did not realize the FCC was so Gestapo on BC stations.  If they put 1/100th the effort in policing Amateur Radio they way they do commercial radio, it would be yes sir/ no sir, and excuse me on the hambands.
