I remember a similar account for newlyweds who put a penny in a jar for every-time they do it. The thinking was that at some point in the future they will be rich!Then reality hits. A coworker of mine once said, "Jim, I got two kids, and I am batting nearly 100%"! All I got to say about that is that I'm glad my retirement nest egg is not based upon pennies in a jar. :-)
