I agree $110 is quite a bit. I pay half that. However, we find it
necessary to drive unless we live in a major metro area with lots of public
transportation.
Our hobby is not a necessity. Excessive impediments to entry will have
negative consequences.
I still think amateur radio contributes much to this country. If the
majority disagrees (or the commercial interests convince the government we
don’t) I think our hobby will go away more quickly if these increases are
implemented without due consideration of the consequences.
