Interesting Durff,

Thanks for the information. In a previous post I eluded to a second product
they sell but could not recall what it was. A friend sent me a message
about it. It is Deoxit Shield S5 which is to be used after D5.

I did a cursory look for the composition of Shield and did not find it, only
the advertising on Caig's site.

https://caig.com/deoxit-shield-s-series/

I wonder if this would provide long lasting protection and operating
efficiency. According to the website is does not have any cleaning solution
but is recommended after using D5 or "another cleaning solution".

Right now I am pleased with De-Ox-Id. Does anyone have experience with S5
Shield, its effect and longevity?

IIRC, Cramolin and Deoxit are not identical in makeup. Cramolin was
formulated in the late 1800's to reduce arcing on industrial
generators/alternators. Caig was a licensed distributor in the US. They
tried to duplicate the formula with their own product DEOXIT.
