Quietrol seems to have been the best, made in Spartanburg, SC for years until the EPA outlawed the use of the main ingredient, carbon tet I think. I still have a couple sealed bottles as back ups. I use 100% alcohol and the wooden stick Q tips you get at a pharmacy. Deoxit and Cramloin I have used, but do go back and wash them out with the alcohol. A heat gun makes sure nothing is left. Cramolin can take the carbon track off the phenolic on pots if they are that type. The fellows who use WD40, well, guess you have been lucky, but that was always a major 'never use' in electronics. Water Displacement #40, while the can says it is good for so many things, using it on guns, fishing reels, other small and intricate part devices, usually has side effects. One of the things in it is citric acid, not sure how many of you want to dunk something special in a jar of orange juice.
