Running something like Deoxit removes all that, specifically the graphite,
eliminating the 'contact's from one side of the switch to the other.
I bought some anti-seize, with graphite from an automobile parts place the
other day. I've used it on all my physical connections on the mobile
antenna system. All noise removed.
Perhaps a much smaller application, perhaps with an applicator smaller than
a q-tip would work better for band switches, especially those that have a
ball bearing with an indent.
Just a thought.
