That price is a hair above noise in the audio world. They pay $200 for an
AC line cord. A 8877(3CX1500A7) triode RF amplifier tube pricing starts
somewhere around $700 or $800 (used) and climbs all the way to over $2000
for new depending on where you buy one.
The Far East guys have been buying up the 300B's used and new stock and
building and selling monoblock audio amps for years at outstanding high
prices.
If you don't want to build a stereo high efficiency and high quality
amplifier, WECo is selling the 97-A monoblock amplifier with 8 300B's for
roughly $62K per pair. Of course, if you have a quad system or 5.1 or
7.1, the price will be considerably higher.

Scroll down the page and view the underside wiring. No clip leads visible
here. Each monoblock weighs 165 pounds. That's heavier then my Johnson
Thunderbolt.
I think I'll stick with my two Eico HF-52 mono amplifiers for a little
while longer. I need to save up for my next wellness exam.
