Jim,

I'm definitely interested!   In one article I wrote about a low power AM
transmitter I showed the value of the "free speech processing" provided
by a carbon mic, only to see years later the esteemed Bob Heil
incorporated similar voice bandwidth optimization in his pine board
transmitter.   From Bob's presentations and my own on-air experience
with both AM and SSB low power radios, the importance of effective
speech processing can't be overstated as it often makes the difference
in being heard.

I am at the other end of the spectrum from those who crank out the
bandwidth in lame attempts to sound like a broadcast station - my
interests are in maximizing intelligibility and packing the greatest
amount of information into the RF power that is available.
