A $100 unit such as that is VERY likely a Chinese unit!
They are unreliable and NOT worth what you pay!
Trimble and others sell completely self contained units with an accurate 10MHZ output.
You WILL spend a fair bit more! You get closer to $200 for them.
You will only get what you pay for!
The GPS signal is OVER 1 GHZ! Something like 1.15GHZ. The antenna is BEST an active one with amplification.
That antenna can either be located outside or "maybe" in an attic.
