Hi all,

I have a question about something I have never done before.

I have a coil that is part of an SX-42 that opened up and can be fixed. 
Here is the question..I know you are waiting with baited breath.

What chemical will dissolve that insulation on the small wire?  I have fixed 
coils before but the wire was always large enough to scrape carefully.  Not 
this wire.

It is about half the size of one of the few hairs left on my head.  I have 
sufficient slack to resolder but don't want to chance breaking it.  By 
dissolving that insulation I can make the repair.

I read the answer some years back, but have forgotten.
