My one and only antenna - an inverted "V" came down in a storm
recently. I listened to a lot of AM here in the Midwest last winter on
that antenna, and never fired up anything the entire time. While
listening to the variety of "AM personalities" I have been setting up my
work bench and station slowly, which is whats taking me so long. I had
to obtain a good freq gen, a couple of scopes, a good VTVM and some
other items, plus build a nice "boat anchor approved" work bench.
Between work, family obligations a new shack it takes time, but its
getting there.
Additionally, I have been wanting to put up a horizontal loop on 80 and
something for 40 Meter AM. I have a hygain hytower sitting here for a
couple of years I need to install. I plan on taking care antenna
problems before winter. Additionally I have a few AM transmitters I am
looking forward to getting on the air. A Valiant, a 5100 and some other
fun machines. Its a little bit of work to get all this going!
Hope to see you guys on the bands this winter,
Mark
