Those look like good modifications. I've heard that just putting a
cap in series with the link to ground helps. But I have never really
understood the complaining because my KW MB covers all bands including
WARC, but I must admit that I use two dipoles, a half wave on 80 and a
half wave on 20. It makes no sense to me to use an 80 m. dipole on 10
because the pattern is so crazy with spaghetti lobes every which way.*
Also, I had to fiddle with the feedline length for 80 meters and add
series capacitance to the series sections of the 4 section cap to get
down to 3500. I guess to me these problems aren't that big of a deal.
Anyway, Mark, I'm curious about your TAC. Where did you find it?
They are pretty rare.
