Note the previous comment. It is very easy to try and align the 40 meter band while looking at the wrong section of the dial. There are two 40 meter segments. I know this because the DX100 does the same thing and took a bit to figure out why the previous owner had 40 meters out of whack. Charlie, W4MEC in NC
