I'll admit to being a CB Freebander in the late '70s.

However, we ran the part between CB and 10 meters.

Not a single one I knew would EVER run on 10 meters!

We had enough sense to STAY AWAY!

I even used a Siltronix 1011C and a 1011D.

Knew where I should and shouldn't go!

Made a long haul on 27.6XX to Australia on 2 1/2 watts.

Made my day.

I then took the time to get a license.  I wanted to be legal and have 
the *privilege* of running with the *real* folks!
