Mouser Electronics, www.mouser.com/ ,  is an excellent source for all sorts of small parts, and they will sell you as few as one piece of one item.  For example, I just looked up a 680 ohm, 1/2 watt, 5% tolerance Carbon Composition Resistor.  It is their part number 791-RC1/2-681JB.  It is in stock and costs $0.36 in single quantities.  A 270K is part number 791-RC1/2-274JB and is also $0.36 in single quantities, in stock, and will ship immediately.  They also have an online catalog, a pdf catalog, and they will send you a print catalog for free if you request it.
