Jim, you can pull the meter, carefully pull the meter apart and scan the
face/scale, and have a print-shop make a replica of it. Then, find a
replacement meter, (typically 50uA=FS) take it apart, carefully remove
the face, and replace it with the replica, and 'presto', you've got a
working, new-scale S-meter for the receiver again.
No... it's not original, but these old 50 and 60 year old radios are
running -very- short on 'spares'. Time to compromise.
