[AMRadio] Replacing dial cord on an S-38e Hallicrafters RX

Hi

I'm looking for insight in redoing the dial cord on an S-38E, it's very
close to breaking, and it won't tune from end to end right now, it's
spinning on the tuning knob shaft and is badly frayed as a result.

Any insight on how to do this relatively easily ?
