Years ago, maybe that's when Steve decided to discontinue the old AM
Bulletin Board, someone began vandalising the site by posting nauseatingly
obscene photos. At the time, it was open to the public; you did not have to
register and sign in with a  password to post messages. I don't know if it
was ever determined who the culprit was, but as I recall a couple of
slopbucketeers and one prominent AMer became "persons of interest" but I
don't think there was ever any proof. That incident seemed to be the final
blow that killed the original bulletin board.
