[AMRadio] Cw and contests

I subscribe to that list. In fact it was the first ham radio list I ever
joined and it buzzed with activity. A lot of interesting topics used to show
up there every day, some related directly to CW and others to ham radio in
general. There would be alerts and discussions about FCC proposals and other
happenings that might impact our operation. Occasionally even technical
topics  would pop up. But over the years, activity has gradually dwindled
and so has the content of the traffic. Now about all I ever see are posts
about someone's exotic new key or what contest or sprint is on this weekend.
I think it has become boring and caused people to lose interest.

And we mustn't forget that ham radio related internet sites are not the same
thing as ham radio.
