Most of them are using computers or boxes with buttons to send
programmed contest exchanges:  "TU ur 5NN 5NN 73" and so on.

If you get on there with a bug and use a bit of swing the fakers will
reveal themselves.  They usually don't even come back to you when you
call them and if you are running some power and they're not DX you
know they can hear you.
