Don't give up you guys, it takes time--spend some time sending off the
air for practice and tune around and set aside some time to sit and
listen to get back in practice copying. My first five to 8 years I
was licensed I only operated CW because I didn't have enough money for
any other mode. I had my J36 and handled traffic on 80 meters in
Mississippi. Even if you don't operate CW much it can be a nice break
from phone when the wx and/or condx are too lousy for an enjoyable
phone ragchew. And, we have the equipment to properly check our
keying envelope (which a lot of regular CW ops do not--just listen to
all the clicks during a CW contest). Those class C novice CW rigs
that are cathode keyed can be clicky when run stock.
