Same here, Rob. Even while I was off the air for a decade, there was an
HQ-150 sitting in the kitchen that played almost every night while I cooked
dinner, filled the woodstove or emptied ashes, etc. Later when I was
getting back on the air I recall listening on 75m into the early morning
hours while working on the transmitter's RF deck or having the audio
chassis flipped over on the kitchen table replacing caps. You can get away
with that stuff when you're single. (o:
There seems to be far less to listen to these days, though. And of course,
summer static doesn't help matters.
