And I will affirm that is a wonderful attitude !   For me ham radio is 
an outlet
for my technical drives and desires.   Some aspects of ham radio leave me
cold but just getting "on the air" to test a modulator or a keyer or an 
antenna
or a microphone provides me with a great feeling.   If I design something in
Spice and put it together and it works as I think it should I feel 
wonderful
about that.   But if you don't get involved with that aspect of ham 
radio it is
absolutely your choice;  I am unconcerned.   I'm happy and to me that is
what counts.
