I recall when I worked Mike KO6NM a few years back I asked him about that.
He said that several folks were using converted broadcast transmitters that
were rockbound. Seems there as a conflict with a SSB group in 5 Land on
this frequency too. So - who knows?

Don't you also have some issues there with HOA restrictions or similar? I
bet if you could get a decent aerial up in the air a ways you could stir up
some interest. Even with as little as 100 watts from a DX-100, 32V, etc. As
Don mentioned and some of us have seen many times, activity attracts more
activity. The problem seems to be, everyone is waiting for someone else to
start the party.
