keep a look out for a SX-115.  you never said how much you can spend.
With a Ranger I'm going to assume you are looking for casual operating
160 to 10 meters receiver.    Are you able to perform repair work?
Some ops are no longer physically able.  The NC-300 National is a nice
set and paired with the Ranger you'd have one of the "dream" setups of
the 1950s.  if you like that 2x6V6 audio and are going to ragchew in
the daytime the 183D someone mentioned is FB.
