Hi Bob,
I haven't used the Johnson match box before for an RF pickup, but I am sure
it is doable! Here are a few ideas that work that are easy to build inside
if you wish.
http://www.k8iqy.com/testequipment/-20dbmcoupler/-20dbmcoupler.htm

IF using high power, just get the center from an piece of RG-213. Last time
I looked up the center dielectric is good for 6500 volts. This is the
non-foam stuff.

Another one I found was here: http://www.qsl.net/n2ffl/AM.html

Nothing critical here if you like to play and roll your own.

There are some nice ones from Precise RF.
http://preciserf.com/shop/station-monitor-trapezoid-qrp/ The nice thing he
provides a trigger so the display is stopped. If you look in the data
sheets you will see a nice schematic that may give you a few ideas. Someday
hope to buy one to clean up some of the homebrew boxes here, hi.

Thanks
